There are few things more thrilling than a Cabrillo Festival finale, as audience members stream out of the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium into that soothing summer air, intermingled with the palpable energy of the performers. Cristi Măcelaru wants to capture those moments of shared joy in the afterglow of The Battle for the Ballot’s historic world premiere! On August 9, after the concert, we’ll gather online for a Community Sing experience, tailored for this new world we find ourselves—and each other—in.
