On Friday August 28, CreativeMornings Santa Cruz is back at the MAH. This month's theme is NAHKLAH (Arabic for palm tree) featuring creative community leader Mireya Gomez-Contreras. Everyone is welcome to join for free coffee and goodies, a short talk and live performance, plus curated opportunities to connect and collaborate with local creatives. About the Speaker: Mireya Gomez-Contreras is the Executive Director of Esperanza Community Farms in Watsonville, California. With over 27 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she brings a deep commitment to community power-building, systems change, and culturally-rooted creative projects. Raised in a farmworker family in the San Joaquin Valley and Central Coast, Mireya’s early experiences inspired her passion for fairness and well-being.
