Maya Delano is a Santa Cruz based artist and community builder working across a variety of mediums including clay, painting, and mixed media. For this upcoming First Friday show she will be presenting new clay works alongside original artworks and prints.
This exhibition titled , Introducing Le Bebe, is a playful alter ego and character that Maya works with in her creative practice. Le Bebe carries trickster and coyote energy, an exploratory presence that moves through the deeper landscapes of psyche and imagination. Inspired in part by themes such as Alice in Wonderland’s white rabbit, this character invites curiosity, humor, and a sense of playful descent into inner and universal worlds.
Maya is the former community manager and is excited to be returning to NextSpace for this show, reconnecting with a community she has long been part of.
