Join us for the launch of the inaugural Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 5. From 12-5pm, on Lincoln Street between Cedar Street and Pacific Avenue, we will be throwing up tents, flipping pupusas, popping popcorn, stacking hay bales and setting up a slew of silly, throw-back games and fun activities for all of you. Think of a sweet nook version of county fair meets a school fair but, filled with local farms and businesses. This vibrant community event is produced in partnership with The Downtown Association of Santa Cruz the Santa Cruz Community Farmers' Markets and sponsored by Santa Cruz Community Credit Union.
The Harvest Festival offers a delightful array of activities for all ages including:
● Carnival Games: Enjoy classic carnival games like Dunk Tank*, Striker, Glitter Tattoos, Face Painting, *Dime Toss, Plinko, Froggy Fly, Corn Hole, and Foosball.
● Food: Savor delicious fall flavors with popcorn, Algo Leve elote, churros & Dos Hermanos Pupusas
● Live Music: Experience the lively sounds of local musicians, including the Rhythm Rangelers
● Harvest Festival Outfit Contest: Sign up in person by 2pm and show off your duds between 2-2:30pm on our music stage. Winner receives $50 Downtown Dollars.
● Wreath Making: Free fall craft sponsored by the Santa Cruz Community Farmers’ Market
● Rodoni Pumpkin Sale: Support the Santa Cruz High girls basketball team and buy some pumpkins.
● Garden Variety Cheese Farm Animal Meet and Greet: Rebecca King brings baby sheep, ewes and chicks for viewing and handling.
● Bouquet Making with Sea to Sky: Pick out seasonal flowers and arrange them with support from the Sea to Sky Farm team.
● Live Earth - Farm Discovery: Garlands, planting seedlings and selling a small selection of preserves
● Dunk Tank proceeds will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank.
