In this 4 week class, you will use pointed dip pens and ink to create strokes, letterforms, words and flourishes and develop the muscle memory needed to continue practicing and improving for years to come!

For the DIY brides out there, this is a chance to learn how to address envelopes and make place cards and/or signs for your wedding. A $15 materials fee is due the first day of class and provides you with an oblique holder, nibs, ink, paper and alphabet exemplar practice sheets.

Good handwriting is not essential to be a good calligrapher! If you’ve ever been curious about the art of calligraphy but too intimidated to learn on your own, this will be a relaxing, friendly and fun class. Once you learn the basics, you will discover how gliding ink across your paper can be a very soothing, creative and meditative practice. And, not to mention, you will knock the socks off of your friends and family when you create elegant holiday cards, gift tags and envelopes for them!

About the instructor:
Kendra Dosenbach is the Founder and Owner of All Hands Workshops, which was born out of her desire to build her own and others’ creative capacity. Ever the renaissance soul, Kendra has an insatiable appetite for designing and creating beautiful objects and environments. She approaches making as meditation and believes it is powerful medicine for personal and collective well-being. She has lived in many parts of the country and the world and is grateful to now be growing her family and her business in Santa Cruz, California.
