Jeremy Pelt has become one of the preeminent young trumpeters in the world of jazz. After forging a bond with the Mingus Big Band very early on, his career progressed and Pelt built upon that relationship, which lead to collaborations with some of the genre’s greatest masters. Notable collaborations include work with the Roy Hargrove Big Band, Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, and the Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band. As a bandleader, Pelt’s recordings and performances have earned him heaps of critical acclaim, both nationally and internationally. The Jeremy Pelt Quintet features Chien Chien Lu on vibraphone, Victor Gould on piano, Richie Goods on bass, and Allan Mednard on this concert date.
