Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award–winning author Colson Whitehead returns to Santa Cruz for his newest novel. The Nickel Boys highlights a story that hasn’t been widely shared about one of our country’s secret tragedies. Colson Whitehead brings vividly to life the evils of Jim Crow America and writes a heartbreaking story of two boys and their impossible choices. Whitehead’s prodigious talent and boundless compassion is not to be missed.
