A local favorite of soul and funk fans, Pawn Shop Soul is delighted to drop their first CD featuring Simone Cox on four vocal tunes and four of their grooviest instrumentals. The soulful Simone Cox, well known to local R&B fans, will be showcasing her tunes from the CD. Sadly, Simone is leaving the area soon so Angela Porter is stepping in to sing some new tunes for Pawn Shop Soul. Angela’s gutsy southern soul approach often brings the great Janis Joplin to mind for audiences. There will be both seating and a dance floor for when sitting is not an option. Don’t miss this celebration of vintage soul, funk, and boogaloo music with Pawn Shop Soul, and start the New Year with soul!
