Every Thursday (now online!), VIRTUAL Sloth Storytelling brings storytellers from all walks of life, sharing their stories. Some are heartbreaking, some are raw, some are funny. Watch live videos or tune in later at your leisure.
FORMAT
We will rotate Storytellers on Zoom and upload live-streaming video onto the April 2nd Sloth event page here. Click on Discussions, then click on the video to add volume.
WEEKLY THEME
This week's theme is "Lost—or, I once was found, but now I am lost." The headlining storyteller this week is Silvia Vasquez-Lavado. Lavado is a Peruvian-American explorer, mountaineer, social entrepreneur, and technologist. In June 2018, she became the first openly gay woman to complete the Seven Summits, the tallest mountain on each continent from both the Messner and Bass lists.
EVENT DETAILS
All the action takes place on your own screen, wherever you are in your shelter-in-place with BYO snacks and libations. Stock your shelves with Santa Cruz Cider, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing's IPA, Amber Ale, or non-alcoholic Root Beer and whip up a batch of organic popcorn to roll like we usually do at the Lab!
Storytelling for adults, now online: it's VIRTUAL Sloth!
