AMS got its start in 1990 providing the Chief Scientist to the US and State of Alaska Joint Trustee Council for the government's investigations of natural resource damages from the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound, Alaska. In the two decades since, AMS has expanded it services into a broad number of areas to support private industry, engineering consulting firms, non-profit organizations, academia, and public agencies at the local, state, federal, and international level. AMS is a California-certified Small Business Enterprise with offices in Livermore, Santa Cruz, Oakland, and Little River, California.
