West Cliff Drive is a hugely popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Two miles of wheelchair accessible “mixed use bicycle path” along the scenic Santa Cruz Coast stretches from Natural Bridges State Beach to the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf, and includes a stop at the Lighthouse, which is now the Santa Cruz Surfers Museum.
Watch surfers at Steamer Lane and see the iconic “To honor Surfing” longboard surfer statue, often decorated with fresh flower leis. Four-footed friends will enjoy Its beach, a dog friendly play spot for canines and owners, across from Lighthouse Field.
Within walking distance of one end is the Boardwalk and municipal pier, the other end has Natural Bridges state park. Bring your camera, binoculars, and whole family including your dog (leash required on path). Walkers, bikers, skaters, joggers – all can share the path along this amazing stretch of coastline.
