"My step-son, Marlon (1 out of my 5 kids), calls me Boss Mom and I love it. I love it because somewhere in the word “boss” there’s some respect (I hope), though I know he’s making fun of me when I get stressy serving people slices of pizza. Some nights we close late and I’ll have a kid or 3 with me - helping me mop or stack chairs. Sometimes they have a late dinner but they wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. For our family, the goal of running Pleasure Pizza Downtown was core to the experience and joy of working in a community. Sol and I have mostly worked in tech where we didn’t truly interact with people - especially after the pandemic. It is an honor to serve our community with awesome people, family and…awesome pizza!
