The 62nd season of the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music kicks off with Vivian Fung's "Parade" reflecting on the pandemic journey from isolation to community. Helen Grime's Violin Concerto offers a virtuosic concert experience, featuring soloist Leila Josefowicz. Nina Young's "Tread softly" honors the Women's Suffrage movement, while Karim Al-Zand's world premiere, "Al Hakawati", explores the stories we tell and how they are remembered through time, featuring the captivating soprano Miriam Khalil.
