A lonely, middle-aged widower (Ryo Ishibashi) starts using his production company to hold mock auditions for a fictitious film project in an effort to find a wife. When he meets a beautiful former ballerina with a mysterious past (Eihi Shiina), the two begin a romance. On the surface, she seems like an innocent and submissive woman, but her true nature is revealed as, in the blink of an eye, a tender romance morphs into a shocking, gothic psycho-thriller. Not for the squeamish! Directed by Takashi Miike (Blade of the Immortal, 13 Assassins, Sukiyaki Western Django, Gozu, Ichi the Killer), based on a novel by Ryû Murakami. (Fully subtitled)
