SANTA CRUZ SYMPHONY PRESENTS ITS “HOLIDAY CONCERT,”
A MUSICAL CELEBRATION FOR ALL AGES
Performances are on Saturday, December 13 at 7:30pm,
and Sunday, December 14 at 1pm, both at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium

Santa Cruz, Calif. – The winter months begin with joyful celebration. And the Santa Cruz Symphony is jumping right in with its Holiday Concert at the Civic Auditorium on the weekend of December 13 and 14. The Saturday performance is at 7:30pm, with the Sunday performance at 1:00pm. This is a lively concert that attracts music lovers of all ages. For the children, it also includes bracelet making, ornament painting, and photos with Santa and the elves starting 90 minutes before each concert.

“The winter holidays bring families and friends together to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and the end of the year,” said Gary Reece, the Symphony’s executive director. “It’s a natural way for us to present a musical performance that everyone can enjoy with the people they love. We even have $15 tickets for young people under 18, making it affordable for families.”

The Symphony’s maestro, Daniel Stewart, has assembled a varied program that includes a sing-along at the end. Featured selections include Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival and Sleigh Ride, Peter Jaffe’s Symph Hanukkah, excerpts from Pyotr Tchaikovski’s Nutcracker Suite, Julius Klengel’s Hymnus for Twelve Celli, Isaac Watts’ Joy to the World, and seasonal sing-along tunes that include Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

For tickets, call 831-420-5260 or visit https://www.santacruztickets.com Adult tickets start at $30. Young people under 18 are $15 for all seats.
